Time to get away from the city, back to my home. Nature. The wilderness in Canada is like nothing I've ever experienced, so luscious & vibrant. Healthy. The local community really works wonders is sustaining the environment in this beautiful country and it's evident when you visit the provincial parks. A short bus ride from my accommodation and I was in the heart of it all, untouched Wilderness. The Lynn Valley suspension bridge & hike is a must for any explorer.
The hike is only about 1.5km round trip, I was greeted with light rain whilst walking and a slight chilly wind, which I surprisingly enjoyed. Masses of autumn leaves falling to the ground provided for a rich experience of colour and life.
I was by myself most of the hike, not many ventured far from the suspension bridge. A lot of tourists. I was certainly frightened at one point when a large black animal race around the corner about 50metres ahead of me, thinking it was a bear my adrenaline started pumping and 100's of thoughts raced through my head on what to do, I had been warned at the start of the walk; "are you bear prepared". A few seconds passed and I quickly realised it was just a goofy large black dog. Thank god.
Until next time, get out there & explore this wonder filled world we live in...
